NCS Implements New Fee Structure

Beginning March 1, 2008, NCS will provide a simplified fee level for both details graded and genuine-only service options. Get the full details inside.

Effective March 1, 2008, NCS will implement a new fee structure. The fee schedule for NCS certification has been simplified by broadening value ranges and providing a single fee level for both details graded and genuine-only service options. For your convenience, coins of differing value levels may be submitted on a single invoice. NCS authentication and encapsulation services are for coins with detrimental surface conditions. Problem-free coins submitted to NCS are transferred to NGC and graded at applicable NGC tier rates.

NCS Authentication/Details Grading and Encapsulation Fees Effective March 1, 2008

Declared Value   Fee per Coin
Up to $300   $12
$301 - $3,000   $20
$3,001 - $10,000   $40
$10,001-$100,000   $80
$100,001+   $150

Conservation fees will also be modified effective March 1, 2008. Conservation fees are assessed as a percentage of the owner’s declared value per the below schedule.

Conservation Fees Effective March 1, 2008

Evaluation:   1% of declared value per coin, minimum $5.

Conservation:   4% of declared value up to $150,000 per coin,
2% of declared value over $150,000 per coin,
    $15 minimum fee

As always, we appreciate your business and we are committed to offering the highest level of service possible. Questions regarding NCS rates and submission procedures should be directed to NCS Customer Service. They may be contacted by phone at 1-866-NCS-COIN.
