Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the reverse of each coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination and the 2013 year-date.

Each coin is struck from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.

The Perth Mint will release no more than 10,000 of each of these Forest Babies 2013 1/2oz Silver Proof Coins.

Delicately frosted representations of forest flowers and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark are also incorporated into the design of each coin.

The Red Squirrel: Instantly recognisable by their red fur, the red squirrel can be found across most of Europe and northern Asia. The coin’s obverse depicts an irresistible coloured image of a baby Red Squirrel headed by the inscription RED SQUIRREL
