Middlesex-Burchell’s D&H- 274. Edge: This is not a coin but a medal. .+.+.+.+., Rarity:Scarce. Basil Burchell was a well known vendor who patented his own medicines. We would call him a quack today. His business did flourish however, and this piece was probably sold with his Sugar Plumbs. They are usually found with holes in them, as they would be attached to the Anodyne necklace as they were sold.
