The 1945 coin is one of the ones that can be found without the "AW" on the reverse. In his Walker book, Bruce Fox lists a number of dates and mints that can be found without "designer's initials". For sure one day they will become of great interest within the series. I didn't collect such things years ago but have learned to enjoy hunting for such quirks of the series in these days and times.
