Owner Comments:

In my opinion, this date is much scarcer in the upper circulated grades than the price it commands. When I searched rolls in the early 1940's it was possible to occasionally find pre-1925 quarters with readable dates. Rarer dates like the 1919-S, 1923-S and 1924-S quarters seemed to show up in about equal numbers in the San Francisco area during that period.
