Owner Comments:
I have always been drawn to Carson City coinage and specifically gold. This coin in specific has exceptionally clean fields with smooth surfaces. It also has hints of luster. The 1892 mintage was the lowest of the 1890's and the strike on this AU 55 is superb. I really enjoy how the date and mint mark stand out vs. other more shiny CC's floating around. I think a pronounced CC is important on the reverse and this coin gives it to you. There is definitely a mystique to CC gold and I am glad I was able to capture an example here.
