Lincoln Type Wheat Ears on the reverse (1909-1958). Victor David Brenner (V.D.B.) was the designer of this cent which was issued to commemorate the hundredth anniversary of Lincoln's birth. The Lincoln Type was the first cent to have the motto IN GOD WE TRUST. Mintage: 657,828,600 which includes 32,600 proof coins. Composition: .950 copper, .50 tin & zinc, diameter 19 mm, plain edge. This very rare CAMEO Lincoln cent was purchased in the (FUN) Signature Auction held by Heritage Auction Galleries on January 14, 2007 for $1,092.50. Total population: (3) PCGS/ (9) NGC. Population of Higher Grade: (1) PCGS/ (0) NGC as of 01/04/2007. NumisMedia FMV: $3,750.
