This common St.Gaudens double eagle is MS-63 graded by ngc.
Obverse:The main point of this coin is the strike: deep and full of details. Everything on the dress of miss Liberty is evident, rays, face and hands are deep and also hair of miss liberty are sharp. No frictions at all are present in my opinion and the field is clear just same light mark and same hair lines are present but not so distracting. The luster round weel on the field. The eye appeal is really excellent probably superior.
Reverse:Like the obverse the strike of this reverse is excellent. No weakness are present and all the feathers are defined like rays even if same marks are present on the field and eagle but all minimal. Luster is very very good. At my point of view this coin should be a superior eye appeal.
My opinion:
Surface preservation:3/5
Details/Strike:4/5
Luster:3/5
Eye Appeal:4/5
