Owner Comments:

This "Top-Pop" coin has unusually nice luster for an issue that was generally softly struck. The fire at the Charlotte Mint in July of 1844 halted production, and prevented coinage in 1845. Thus, this is a particularly difficult coin to find in Mint State due to heavy circulation.
