The original Sacagawea Dollar obverse design continued to be paired with an annually rotating reverse design for the Native American $1 Coin Program. The latest reverse design honored the contributions of Native American Code Talkers of World War I and World War II.

The reverse design by Thomas D. Rogers Sr. featured the image of two soldier’s helmets with feathers behind arranged in the shape of a “V”. The helmets are in the style of World War I and World War II helmets and the “V” symbolizes “Victory”. The inscriptions read “United States of America”, “WWI”, “WWII”, “Code Talkers”, and the denomination “$1”.
