Owner Comments:
Coin color is a nice overall, rather soft subdued gold with blazing luster. This is one well struck 50's coin, with just the slightest planchet roughness showing under magnification on Jeffersons cheek and jaw. The reverse is magnificent and how it did not achieve 5FS is beyond me. Oh well, a definite candidate for upgrade to fullsteps.
Designation review was performed on 9-9-12 and coin did not recieve the FS designation. It must be due to several ticks on steps beneath column one. Oh well, this collector does not agree with that assessment. Sent in again for designation review on 9-13-2013 and alas NGC again did not bestow.
