CAC (Stickered coins are rare in MS--with this coin and a 64 the only 2 CAC representatives--and scarce in better circ grades with only 3 in AU.). Winter Variety 1. Very rare in MS even w/o CAC. Only a moderate number of handling marks, but a shallow diagonal scratch in front of Liberty's nose limits the grade. Strong strike unlike most ’46-C half eagles w/ frosty cartwheel luster on both surfaces. The underlying color is green-gold with delightful hints of red toning clinging to the devices.
