Owner Comments:
This is the JR-2 variety of the 1800 Draped Bust dime. Both varieties were struck with the same obverse die but the reverse was the second one used - also used with the 1801 initial variety. My collection does not target this high of a grade (XF45) but the 1800 dime is often found in higher grades at auction than VF are (although, XF are still more expensive than VF, they are not prohibitively more expensive, like 1801 - 1804). This example has a bit of sea green color on the obverse and mostly sea green on the reverse. One distinguishing mark at 11 O'clock on the reverse.
