The 1994 World Cup silver dollar was issued to celebrate the XV FIFA World Cup playoffs. The games were held in the Rose Bowl, located in Pasadena, California.
A three coin program was issued for the 1994 World Cup Silver Dollar. The uncirculated had a mintage of 81,698. It's NGC UNIVERSAL ID # is 26HR, with a catalog #KM-247. The population on this particular coin is very low at 107. There was a pre-issue price of $23.00, and a regular price of $28.00.
The obverse is of two players and was designed by Dean McMullen. The reverse is the 1994 World Cup logo.
The 1994 World Cup Silver Dollar Commemorative carried an unusually high maximum mintage allowance of five million coins. The proof coins were minted at the San Francisco mint and the uncirculated coins at the mint in Denver.
