VAM-2This is rarest 1899-P variety, exhibiting strong doubling on the second 9 in the date.The mirrors are actually pretty deep for the date. Contrast on the obverse is almost zero, which is the norm for late date Philadelphia and San Francisco Morgans. The cheek is remarkably clean, something more representative of a 66, rather than a 65. Golden toning abounds on both sides.
