Chrome, chrome, chrome! This BTW was chrome plated by the mint! No seriously, but as is known in the BTW series, some 1947S coins come with proof like surfaces and this specimen appears to have had a chromium bath. Both sides possess blistering and blinding luster with very clean surfaces. A few scattered small marks are seen under a loupe and the jaw line is pretty clean too. 3 tiny brown color spots provide some teeny tiny coloration and make this acceptable for the set. Note the photos show die striation lines which are mint manufactured raised lines and do not impact grade. Lovely eye appeal particularly when viewed with welding goggles to avoid retinal damage! CAC certified.
