There was only (1) Die that stood-out among all, being the most desirable and prominent variety,
and that was the Overmintmarked FS-501 Jefferson. As of Feb 2013, the Ngc grading service has
only certified 22 with (3) being in the highest grade of MS-65. Pcgs certified only 7 where only (2)
in this grade of just MS-65, None higher from this variety type in both grading services.
I feel fortunate finding this FS-501 nickel. I have noticed also in the Ngc Image Gallery, the other
coins there are not the FS-501 Variety type after all', but a lesser type . I am hoping Ngc will notice
this error and check each one- making the FS-501 recognized for what it truly is.
The 2nd Table of Varieties are lesser defined dies, quite a few here. There have been no full-
steps found in either of the top-two grading services yet. Update as of 11-2014 - The two
Top Grading Services combined, this Jefferson FS-501 Variety has only (8) Certified in MS-65/
with only (1) in Pcgs today.
