Owner Comments:
WB-105, with evidence of an inverted 1 between the 5 and final 8 in the date. My third try to obtain a prime example of this common (R-4-) date, and I am not sure I have done it yet. This coin is a tough variety (R-7+ in mint state), and one of just five coins graded at PCGS's highest level. The toning is fine and the strike is good. But then again there are a number of die lines between Liberty's left hand and head plus others around the date. And there is a flaw or disturbance in the field opposite Liberty's right hand which I find distracting. The reverse seems perfect, althought the die is lightly clashed. Stronger than the two coins it replaced, but the quest goes on. Bought from Pinnacle Rarities, November, 2010.
