The Peace dollar is one of the rarest series in Prooflike. Out of the enormous number graded, only 2 have been qualified to receive the PL designation. I’ve seen one of these in person, and it was absolutely magnificent. It also sold for a princely sum – so I will have to content myself with a Star graded coin until I win the lottery.
My coin is flashy and well struck, with evident semi-prooflike qualities. The mirrors are too shallow to fully qualify for PL, but they are evident. There is no trace of toning on this coin, which means it has likely been dipped at some point. For this coin, I don’t care – the mirrors are the focus here. I won this coin on Ebay for little to no premium, and I’m glad I did.
