NGC graded MS 66 BN
Variety: N-41, die state a

This coin has great luster and color on both sides. The only flaw worth mentioning is a spot of darker toning between the tops of NT of CENT. Although the variety is very common, die state a (prior to crumbling at the second 8) is noted as "rare" in Bob Grellman's die variety book.

I bought this coin at a June 2007 Baltimore show, from Christine Monk (then of Pinnacle Rarities). It was the first purchase I can recall needing to supply a reference for, and Chris McCawley served nicely. Christine is now with another firm, based in NJ I think. She has always been friendly and helpful.
