1876 Centennial Pocket Change

Set Description
It all started with a young man asking me to check some coins left to him by his grandmother. One was a California Fractional replica of a twenty-five cent piece, with the little bear on it. I picked a real 1876 fractional at auction to show him, and sort of got carried away. My initial criteria for this Signature Set was first find coins from 1876 with a face value of under a dollar from Philadelphia and included California fractional pieces. Next was to find the best Mint State or Proof examples actually pleasing to look at. After that was to find NGC graded coins with the last numbers on the certification which were under -015. The last and most important thing was that I have fun doing what I like the most, and sharing it with others. If you are reading this, you know what I mean. Have a Day!
Philadelphia proof set complete from cent to trade dollar. Philadelphia mint set complete from cent to $20 Liberty. The 1876 Philadelphia Proof and Philadelphia Mint catagory sets from cent to Trade Dollar are a minimum of PF 65 or MS 65 and can be viewed in the T.J. Newman Collection page. California Gold Fractionals include round and octagonal Indian head. The mint set has been updated to include 1876 gold, but at lower mint state than the Philadelphia issues. Coins from San Francisco and Carson City are being added to the mint set.
