The Buffalo On The Night Stand
My husband had an old Buffalo Nickel on our night stand. This Nickel loved to disappear but somehow it always returned to the night
stand. As a child I had a Mercury Dime and a Walking
Liberty hidden in a very
secret place. I would look
at them and admire their
beauty.
Fast forward, my husband decided he would like a BIG GOLD $50.00 BUFFALO and proceeds to buy
one from a good friend of ours. This friend also had the most beautiful lady I
have ever seen. She was an
AMERICAN SILVER EAGLE, I just had to have this gorgeous coin. She was especially vibrant in the beautiful BLACK RETRO HOLDER.
We had been bitten by the
Coin Bug! We read Coin Collecting for Dummies and
still remained novices. I
had already collected a full
69 set of my beauties but
sadly realized I should be
purchasing 70's only.
Moving on I finally finished
the Elegant Eagles 70 set all in Black Retro Holders
and still look at them in complete awe. Now , I would
like to have as many beautiful lady coins old and
new. This is surely a never
ending feat.
My dear husband has finished
his BIG GOLD BUFFALOS to date and is on the hunt for MORGANS. Another never ending feat.
Collecting coins takes you on a wonderful journey.
Making wonderful friends who
have helped us so much, finding a special coin you just have to have, and a lot
of great fun.
By the way, the Nickel Buffalo is not on the night
stand but he will be back.
