I've been a numismatist for over 50 years. My main interests are Military Payment Certificates, small size type notes and US type coins. I was in Vietnam when series 681 and 692 were in use. I vividly remember exchanging series 681 MPC for the new 692 series. I still have the 692 fractionals I was issued on October 7, 1970. Unfortunately, I did not know what replacement notes were at that time.
